Talents Beirut kicks off the call for entries for its sixth edition for Arab Film talents
The Metropolis Association and the Goethe-Institut in Lebanon are launching the call for entries for the sixth edition of Talents Beirut.
Between March 18 and May 6th, 2019, cinematographers, editors, sound designers and music composers from the Arab World are invited to apply to the Talents Beirut, a programme that aims to reinforce Arab artists in their technical and artistic skills.
20 promising film talents from the Arab World will be selected by an international jury to attend the sixth edition of Talents Beirut which will take place in Beirut between the 19th and the 23rd of September 2019.
Talents from Algeria, Bahrain, Comoros, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen will be eligible to apply online at talents-beirut.com.
Talents Beirut has hosted more than 100 talents from the Arab World, allowing them to meet with established film professionals including Oscar-nominated director Joshua Oppenheimer (The Look of Silence), re-recording mixer and music supervisor Peter Albrechtsen (Dunkirk), sound designer Rana Eid (Honeyland), film editor Nadia Ben Rachid (Timbuktu) and director Laurent Cantet (The Class).
Organized by the Metropolis Association and the Goethe-Institut, in collaboration with the Berlinale Talents and FID Marseille, and with the support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, the sixth edition of Talents Beirut will be held in parallel to the sixth edition of the German Film Week in Lebanon, organized by the Goethe-Institut.

Sixième édition de Talents Beirut : appel à candidatures ouvert jusqu'au 6 mai 2019
L’Association Metropolis et le Goethe-Institut Liban lancent l’appel à candidatures pour la sixième édition de Talents Beirut. Entre le 18 mars et le 6 mai 2019, les directeurs de photographie, monteurs, compositeurs de musique et ingénieurs du son sont invités à postuler au programme Talents Beirut, qui vise à soutenir les artistes arabes en renforçant leurs compétences technique comme artistique.
20 talents émergents du monde arabe seront sélectionnés par un jury international pour participer à la sixième édition de Talents Beirut qui se tiendra à Beyrouth du 19 au 23 septembre 2019.
Les talents en provenance de l’Algérie, l’Arabie Saoudite, le Bahreïn, les îles Comores, le Djibouti, l’Egypte, les Emirats Arabes Unis, l’Irak, la Jordanie, le Koweït, le Liban, la Libye, le Maroc, la Mauritanie, Oman, la Palestine, le Qatar, la Somalie, le Soudan, la Syrie, la Tunisie et le Yémen sont éligibles pour déposer leur candidature en ligne sur le site www.talents-beirut.com.
Durant ses cinq éditions précédentes, Talents Beirut a accueilli plus de 100 talents du monde arabe qui ont pu rencontrer des professionnels du monde cinématographique comme le réalisateur Joshua Oppenheimer (The Look of Silence), le mixeur et superviseur du son Peter Albrechtsen (Dunkirk), l’ingenieur du son Rana Eid (Honeyland), la monteuse Nadia Ben Rachid (Timbuktu) et le réalisateur Laurent Cantet (Entre les murs).
Organisée par l’Association Metropolis et le Goethe-Institut Liban, en collaboration avec Berlinale Talents et le FID Marseille, et le soutien de la Robert Bosch Stiftung, la sixième édition de Talents Beirut se tiendra parallèlement à la sixième édition de la Semaine du Film Allemand au Liban, organisé par le Goethe-Institut Liban.

بدء قبول طلبات المشاركة في الدورة السادسة من
مواهب بيروت
يسرّ جمعية متروبوليس ومعهد غوته في لبنان أن يعلنا عن بدء قبول طلبات المشاركة في الدورة السادسة من "مواهب بيروت"، وهو برنامج يركّز على توليف الأفلام، وإدارة التصوير، وتصميم الشريط الصوتي وتأليف موسيقى الأفلام في العالم العربي. يهدف البرنامج الى التركيز على هذه المهن المتعلّقة بصناعة الأفلام التي لم تحصل بعد على إنصافها في هذا الجزء من العالم. وسيتمّ قبول طلبات المشاركة بين ١٨ آذار و٦ أيار ٢٠١٩.
سيقوم البرنامج بدعوة ٢٠ موهبة صاعدة من العالم العربي، مختارة من قبل لجنة تحكيم دولية، للمشاركة في الدورة السادسة من "مواهب بيروت"، التي ستعقد في بيروت بين ١٩ و٢٣ أيلول ٢٠١٩.
إن مديري التصوير، المولّفين ومصمّمي الأشرطة الصوتية أو مؤلّفي موسيقى الأفلام من الجزائر، والبحرين، وجزر القمر، وجيبوتي، ومصر، والعراق، والأردن، والكويت، ولبنان، وليبيا، وموريتانيا، والمغرب، وسلطنة عمان، وفلسطين، وقطر، والمملكة السعودية العربية، والصومال، والسودان، وسوريا، وتونس، والإمارات العربية المتحدة واليمن مدعوون لإرسال طلبات المشاركة عبر موقع
وقد شهدت الدورات السابقة من "مواهب بيروت" مشاركة أكثر من ١٠٠ موهبة من العالم العربي، سنحت لهم فرصة لقاء وتبادل الأفكار مع أبرز الخبراء العرب والدوليين مثل المخرج المرشّح للأوسكار "جوشوا أوبينهايمر" (The Look of Silence)، وممكسج الصوت والمشرف الموسيقي "بيتر ألبرختسن" (Dunkirk)، ومصمّمة الصوت "رنا عيد" (Honeyland) ومولفة الأفلام "ناديا بن راشيد" (Timbuktu) والمخرج "لوران كانتيه" (The Class).
من تنظيم جمعية متروبوليس ومعهد غوته في لبنان، بالتعاون مع مواهب البرليناله ومهرجان مرسيليا الدولي للأفلام التسجيلية، وبدعم من مؤسسة روبيرت بوش، ستقام الدورة السادسة من مواهب بيروت بالتوازي مع النسخة السادسة من مهرجان الفيلم الألماني في لبنان، من تنظيم معهد غوته.
