Rana Eid was born in 1976 in Beirut. She has graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and a Masters of Arts in Film Sound both from the Université Saint Joseph, IESAV in 1999. In 2002, Eid has followed sound editing trainings in Paris.
She has worked as sound editor since 2003 on various Lebanese films, collaborating with a number of acclaimed Lebanese filmmakers such as Joanna Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige, Ghassan Salhab, Mohammad Soueid and Philippe Aractingi. She has also worked on films from the region (Syria, Jordan, Palestine), teaming up with established filmmakers as well as emerging emerging talents.
Since 2006, she has been teaching sound design at the University Saint Esprit (USEK).
In 2006, Eid has opened db STUDIOS for audio post production with composer Nadim Mishlawi. The studio would be offering starting 2017 new services in partnership with the French company HAL.

ولدت رنا عيد في بيروت عام ۱۹۷٦. وقد نالت إجازة في فنّ السينما، وحصلت على ماجستير في الصوت من جامعة القديس يوسف، معهد الدراسات السمعية البصرية والسينمائية. وفي عام ۲۰۰۲، سافرت عيد إلى باريس لتتابع برنامجًا تدريبيًّا في توليف الصوت.
وهي تعمل منذ عام ۲۰۰۳ كمولّفة للصوت على الكثير من الأفلام اللبنانية، فقد تعاونت مع عددٍ من أبرز المخرجين اللبنانيين مثل جوانا حاجي توما، وخليل جريج، وغسان سلهب، ومحمد سويد، وفيليب عرقتنجي. وشاركت أيضاً في العمل على أفلام من المنطقة (سوريا، والأردن، وفلسطين) مع مخرجين معروفين ومواهب صاعدة. ومنذ عام 2006، تعطي عيد دروساً في تصميم الصوت في جامعة الروح القدس الكسليك (USEK).
وفي عام ۲۰۰٦، أنشأت عيد بالتعاون مع المؤلف نديم مشلاوي استوديو db STUDIOS لتسجيل الصوت في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج. وفي مطلع عام 2017، سيبدأ الاستوديو بتقديم خدمات جديدة بالتعاون مع شركة HAL الفرنسية.
