Born in Beirut in 1970, Tina Baz Le Gal has studied cinema in France at the ESRA (Ecole Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle) and la Sorbonne. She has started her professional career as assistant to editor Luc Barnier from 1992 to 1998. Since then, she has paved her own way working with established and emerging filmmakers.
She has alternated between documentaries, fiction features and shorts, TV series and artistic videos. She has often worked with the Arab World, notably with filmmakers Joana Hadjithomas and Khalil Joreige but also Hany Abou Assad, Ziad Doueiri, Ismaël Ferroukhi and Abdellatif Kechiche on his award-winning film Poetical Refugee.
Her career is also filled with collaborations with distinct French auteurs (Christophe Ruggia, Jean-Pierre Limosin) and international filmmakers such as Johnnie To. She has edited many films by Japanese acclaimed filmmaker Naomi Kawase including her latest, An, which has opened the Un Certain Regard section of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

ولدت تينا باز لو غال في بيروت عام ١٩٧٠ ودرست السينما في فرنسا في معهد السينما ESRA - المدرسة العليا للفنون السمعيّة والبصريّة وفي جامعة السوربون. وبدأت مسيرتها المهنيّة كمولّفة مساعدة للمولّف لوك بارنييه منذ عام ١٩٩٢ وحتى عام ١٩٩٨.
ومنذ ذلك الحين، انطلقت في مسيرتها فعملت مع مخرجين مشهورين وصاعدين. وتنوّعت أعمالها لتتضمّن أفلامًا روائيّةً طويلةً وقصيرةً وأفلامًا وثائقيّة ومسلسلاتٍ تلفزيونيّة وفيديوهات فنيّة. وغالبًا ما عملت مع مخرجين من العالم العربي من أمثال جوانا حاجي توما وخليل جريج بالإضافة إلى هاني أبو أسعد، وزياد دويري، واسماعيل فروخي، وعبد اللطيف كشيش في فيلمه Poetical Refugee الّذي حاز على جوائز عديدة.
كما تعاملت مع مخزجين فرنسيّين بارزين مثل كريستوف روجيا، وجان بيار ليموسان ومع مخرجين عالميّين مثل جوني تو. وقامت بتوليف أفلامٍ عديدةٍ للمخرجة اليابانيّة ناوومي كواسي فنذكر آخرها فيلم An الذي عُرض في افتتاحية مسابقة "نظرة ما" في مهرجان كان السينمائي عام ٢٠١٥.
